Gas and electric water heater replacement

Gas tanks need a proper flue connection and a sound gas line with a shut-off valve. Electric tanks need the right breaker and wire size. On every replacement we also look at the parts around the tank. That means the cold water shut-off, the temperature and pressure relief valve and its discharge pipe, and the drain pan. If your main line has a pressure-reducing valve, we add an expansion tank so pressure has somewhere to go.

When the job is done, you have a tank that’s filled, heating and checked for leaks. The old one leaves in our truck.

Tankless water heater installation

A tankless heater heats water as it flows, so it doesn’t run out and it frees up the space a tank took. It’s a good fit for some Huntsville homes and a poor fit for others. A gas tankless unit needs enough gas supply and its own venting. An electric one needs a large electrical service.

We check both before we recommend one. If your house can’t support it without major work, we’ll tell you, and a new tank may be the better choice.
